ANAM’s QuartettHaus mural project

For the 2015 Melbourne Arts Festival Bluebottle Design and ANAM wanted to paint their reknown temporary performance space.

The box was split into three parts and creatives David Lancashire, Nick Lewis and Work Art Life responded.

Our idea : go to your smart phone, and your music player. Inside this box Australia’s next generation of classical musicians are stopping, playing, pausing, to an audience of amazed and transfixed faces.

The work was concieved in a week and painted by Andrew in 4 days with a 38mm brush, a 70mm roller, a builders pencil, a 1.5m straight length of wood, 3 litres of black paint, ladders, 15m x 3.4m white walls. Regular brush cleaning is recommended, along with a grided design that you are not afraid to change as mistakes and the unforeseen dictate.
